How to Guide for NetMeeting

Note: Please follow the steps in sequence down the page.

Step 1

Click the NEXT button to continue with the installation of NetMeeting.

Step 2

Enter your First name, Last name and E-mail address. Then click on the NEXT button to continue with the installation. You do not have to enter any information for either the Location or Comments fields.

Step 3

Click on the checkbox to the left of “Do not list my name in the directory” to place a checkmark in it. Then click on the NEXT button to continue with the installation.

Step 4

Click on the “Cable, xDSL or ISDN” radio button if you connect to the internet with either a cable or DSL connection or click on “Local Area Network” radio button if you connect to the internet through a local area network (i.e. LAN).

Step 5

Click on the checkbox to the left of “Put a shortcut to NetMeeting on my desktop” to place a checkmark in it. This setting will make NetMeeting easier to find the next time you use it. Then click on the NEXT button to continue with the installation.

Step 6

Click the NEXT button to continue with the installation so that the audio tuning wizard can help you in tuning your audio settings.

 

Step 7

Click on the slider bar to adjust the volume level for your speakers. Click the TEST button to hear a sample sound clip through your speakers. Then click on the NEXT button to continue with the installation.

 

Step 8

Now click on the slider bar to adjust the recording volume on your microphone. Read the text in quotes out loud into your microphone to check the microphone volume. Then click the NEXT button to continue with the installation.

 

Step 9 (Final Step)

Now you have tuned all of your audio settings for use in Net Meeting. Now just click on the FINISH button to complete the installation of NetMeeting. Congratulations on successfully installing NetMeeting on your computer!
